Bangladesh reports record 22 deaths, 1,773 cases in a 24-hour span

Bangladesh reported the highest coronavirus deaths in a single day as 22 more people died in the last 24 hours from the deadly disease, bringing the body count to 408.

Nevertheless, as 1,773 more people tested positive in the last 24 hours, Bangladesh also reported the highest single-day cases from coronavirus infection.

The number of confirmed cases totalled increased to 28,511 with the latest figure.

Prof. Dr. Nasima Sultana, currently serving as Director-General of the Health Services Directorate (DGHS), revealed information in the daily online health bulletin on Thursday afternoon at the Management Information System ( MIS).

47 Coronavirus research lab in the last 24 hours across the country, tested 10,262 samples, she added.

Some 395 more coronavirus infected patients were released from various hospitals after making full recovery from the extremely infectious disease in the past 24 hours, she said, adding that a total of 5,602 have returned to their homes after full recovery.
