2 sisters slaughtered in Jamalpur

Slit-throat bodies of two sisters were found at Telibari village of Sadar upazila in Jamalpur on Wednesday morning.

The deceased are Bhabana Akhtar, 13, and her sister Nurunnahar, 10, daughters of Saudi expatriate Shamim Ahmed.

Narayanpur police investigation centre's officer-in-charge Mohammad Muhabbat Kabir said a police team is on their way to the spot after being informed.

According to locals, the mother of the victims asked the daughters to go to the school and went out on Tuesday morning. On her return home around 9:00am on Wednesday, she found her daughters dead.
