Global Youth Film Festival Bangladesh begins Sept 5

Cinema Bangladesh is going to arrange it’s flagship event Global Youth Film Festival 2019 in Mymensingh from September 5 to September 7.

Cinema Bangladesh has been organising this festival in different cities of the country from 2017.

Bangladesh is a nation of cultural diversity that varies from town to town, cities to cities, river to river. In this festival, the organiser not only screens films to enthusiast audience from different cities, they also magnify the place’s heritage, culture in the festival premise.
“A total of 1700 films from 99 different countries were submitted for the festival, among them 85 films from 35 countries have been selected for main competition”, said festival producer Hemanta Sadeeq.

“We are going to have more than 20 foreign filmmakers to join us in our festival from 15 countries. We have more than 60 thousands audience globally per year. Selected filmmakers from home and abroad will join us in our three days long programme and attend different workshops on filmmaking and skill developing. This year we will reflect the issue of climate change in our festival through decoration, films and discussions”, he added.
