BUET VC Khaleda Ekram passes away

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) vice chancellor (VC) Professor Khaleda Ekram died in the wee hours of today while undergoing treatment at her last at a hospital in Bangkok, capital of Thailand.
She was 65.
She breathed her last at the hospital 2:05am, BUET official sources confirmed.
President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed profound shock at the death of Khaleda Ekram.
In separate messages, they conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
