RAKUB recovers Tk 2.20cr outstanding loan in Rajshahi

Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) has realized Taka 2.20 crore outstanding loan from 500 clients through arranging a loan- recovery grand camp in the district on Wednesday.

Monchmoil Bazar Branch of the bank organized the daylong camp in its premises largely attended by clients, onlookers and others concerned.

Managing Director Md Awal Khan and Zonal Manager Rafiqul Alam Chowdhury attended and addressed the discussion as chief and special guests respectively with Mahmud Hassan, General Manager of Rajshahi division, in the chair.

Upazila Chairman Jakirul Islam, Principal of Monchmoil Degree College Kumar Pratik Das, Headmaster of Monchmoil High School Ahsan Habib and RAKUB Branch Manager Abdul Hakim also spoke.

RAKUB sources said a massive response from the clients was seen in the camp and they paid their dues spontaneously.

In his remarks, Managing Director Awal Khan said RAKUB is committed to reach its services towards doorsteps of the farmers in general for elevating their living and livelihood conditions.

It is bringing all the existing agricultural potential sectors and sub- sectors under qualitative and quantitative investments for making the region's agro-based economy more vibrant.

RAKUB, headquartered in Rajshahi, has been operating its banking activities as the largest development partner in all 16 northwest districts of Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions targeting its agricultural sector and all its sub-sectors.
