Punishment of Feni OC, SP recommended in Nusrat murder

The investigation committee of the police headquarters formed over the murder of Feni madrasa student Nusrat, has recommended action against several police officials including the police super of Feni police station.
The report was submitted on 30 April night and a copy of the letter is to be sent to the home ministry.
It was recommended that action be taken against police super Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Sonagazi police station officer-in-charge Moazzem Hossain and sub-inspectors Md. Iqbal and Md. Yousuf.
The report also found clear evidence of negligence of duty on part of the additional district magistrate.
The police headquarters formed a five-member committee led by additional deputy inspector general Ruhul Amin on 13 April.
Allegations rose against the police officials of Feni over defending the criminals and trying to show the death as a suicide.
The officer-in-charge also made a video of Nusrat when she went to complain about sexual assault. A case has been filed under the digital security act against the OC.
