2 women found dead in Keraniganj

Police recovered the bodies of two women from Mohonpur and Amirabagh areas in Keraniganj upazila on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Asma, 32, a resident of Mohanpur area and Aksa Akter Eti, 22, a resident of Amirabagh area in the upazila.

Being informed from family members, police recovered the hanging body of Asma from her father-in-law’s house in the evening, said Md Mansur Ahmed, sub-inspector of Keraniganj Model Police Station.

As family members did not file any complaint, the body was handed over to the family without autopsy.

Meanwhile, on information, police recovered the hanging body of Eti from her home in Amirabagh area in the afternoon and sent it to Mitford Hospital for autopsy, said sub-inspector Obaidul Rahman of the police station.

Two unnatural death cases were filed.
