CPB-BSD for resisting extremism, militancy

Leaders of CPB and BSD here today called for united efforts of the pro-liberation forces to resist secret killings and extremism in the country.

They made the call at a human chain jointly arranged by Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) and Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) on the Press Club premises here as part of their nationwide Resistance Day programme against recent militant attacks and killings.

District Coordinator of BSD for Rangpur Abdul Kudus presided over the human chain programme moderated by its district unit Member Mominul Islam.

Associate Professor of Begum Rokeya University Dr Rishin Parimal, district unit Member of CPB Abdul Jalil, Presidium Member of Ganotantry Party Arshad Harun, valiant freedom fighter Mozaffar Hossain Chand, educationist Banamali Paul, district unit President of 'Projanmo 71' Debdas Ghosh Debu, district Convener of Samajtantrik Chhatra Front Sadek Hossain and district unit President of Chhatra Union Ratuzzaman Ratul, addressed among others.

The speakers strongly condemned the recent militant attacks and killings of innocent people at Gulshan in Dhaka, Sholakia Eidgah in Kishoreganj.

They demanded for banning politics of communal and fundamentalist forces, launching science-based one-direction education system, proper investigation into militant attacks and killings and ensuring exemplary punishments to the culprits.
