Husband kills wife in Bhola

A pregnant housewife was beaten to death allegedly by her husband at Charfoijuddin village of Hajirhat union under Manpura upazila of the district last night.
The victim was identified as Fatema, 16, wife of Monir Hawlader of the same area.
Quoting locals, officer-in-charge of Manpura Thana M Sahin Khan said there was a long time conflict between Fatema and Monir after their marriage.
Following the feud, Monir beaten his wife to death with a bamboo sticks and fled the spot.
On information, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police arrested Monir this morning.
