LGRD minister mourns death of Khaleda Ekram

Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain today expressed profound shock at the death of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) vice-chancellor (VC) Professor Khaleda Ekram.

In a condolence message, Khandker Mosharraf said the country has lost an honest, skilled and patriot engineer and people would remember her for long.

The minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Khaleda Ekram breathed her last at a hospital in Bangkok, capital of Thailand in the wee hours of today at the age of 65.
