Death toll keeps rising on, new infections 3240

As of today ( 20 June) Bangladesh reported 37 coronavirus deaths in the span of 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,425.

The number of total COVID-19 patients also increased to 108,775 as health authorities during the same period confirmed the detection of 3,240 new cases across the country.

Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure at its daily health bulletin.

In the last 24 hours, 61 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country tested 14,031 samples, Dr Nasima added.

Besides, 1,048 more patients made recovery, she said adding that so far 43,993 people have recovered from the disease.
