Teenager jailed for ‘raping minor girl’ in Chandpur

A teenage boy was sent to jail on Tuesday on charge of raping a seven-year-old girl at Koila ghat in Chandpur district.
According to case statement, the seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by Rakib Bepari, 12, son of Mostafa Bepari at Koila ghat in the district town on Monday.
Failing to settle the matter through arbitration, victim's family filed a case on Tuesday.
Following the case, police arrested the accused on Tuesday afternoon.
Officer-in-charge of Chandpur Sadar Model police station Waliullah Oli said that a court in Chandpur sent the accused to jail.
